How You Can Get Involved

You can make the difference

The Hon. Rachel Nolan MP, Queensland Minister for Transport has not had sufficient information put before her to make a proper decision on the proposed new transport system for the Gold Coast.

Here's what you can do:

  • Write a letter to The Hon. Rachel Nolan MP
(Print out, fill in your name and contact details and mail to the Minister)
  • Write letters to the Gold Coast City Councillors
  • Get involved with events under the umbrella of the Gold Coast Public Transport Alliance and its incentive "stop light rail - re think Gold Coast Transport"
  • Talk to your friends and associates bringing their attention to the adverse effects of a dedicated light rail route on the Gold Coast not just for now but for the future - their future

It is estimated over 10,000 Gold Coasters have come on board the 'Stop light rail rethink Gold Coast Transport' message of the Gold Coast Public Transport Alliance.
Part of the success in creating awareness and asking people to rethink is attributed to volunteers giving freely of their time to support the GCPTA committee with important and necessary actions. We recognise and thank you for your invaluable contribution.
